I a couple math questions that i am confused about. They relate to standard and factored form of quadratic functions. The first one states; Write the standard form of the parabola with x-intercepts of 3 and 9 and a y-intercept of 54. How can i find the equation. Second question is a two parter. The DIver Time Company makes digital watches for scuba divers. The company models its profits with the function P(d) = -2d(squared) +13d - 6, where d is the number of watches sold, in hundreds, and P is the company's profits, in tens of thousands off dollars. Question A) How many watches does the company need to sell to maximize their profits? Question B) What is the maximum profit? with the given x intercepts, the function must have the form A(x-3)(x-9) Since 3*9 = 27, A = 54/27 = 2 y = 2(x-3)(x-9) y = 2x^2 - 24x + 54 P(d) = -2d^2 + 13d -6 P'(d) = -4d +13 = 0 d = 13/4 =3.25 or 325 watches P(3.25) = -2*(3.25)^2 + 13*(3.25) - 6 = 15.125 orVideo About digital divers watch
