I'm a student photographer and am about to go to Barbados on holiday- I would love to be able to take my Canon dslr into the pool/sea (snorkeling), but proper housing units cost thousands of pounds and I'm already about to splash out on a new camera (40/50D). (I currently use a Canon 350D which, after buying the 40 or 50D, I wont mind trying underwater- the lenses I use are 18-55mm, 18-200mm and 50mm 1.8, and not being able to zoom underwater doesnt bother me too much!) I think you'd be better off getting a cheap, disposable underwater camera rather than taking chances on a cheap housing. Cheap underwater housing for DSLR's- advice please!?
I was wondering if anyone has used their Dslr Underwater with a cheap housing compromise (DicaPac SLR Waterproof Case for example) and if it's safe/any good!
any recomendations or feedback on housing units under £100/$200 would be really helpful!
