Scuba diving is a means of experiencing an environment that will change your thoughts of normal. Humans take hearing, seeing and even breathing for granted. Prepare yourself, and you will open up a world like no other.
Certification First
Scuba diving is learning how to control yourself in an environment hostile to your existence. Scuba diving requires training that will help you to change from an air filled environment to a liquid filled environment. After you master the basic skills necessary of breathing underwater, safety requirements, and show self-control, you will be able to be certified. The certification allows you to rent scuba gear, and get air tanks filled.
Interact with a New World
Now that you have been certified you are ready to explore oceans, lakes and rivers in a manner unknown to those who have only viewed them from the surface. If you have snorkeled before, you get a view that could be compared to a person flying low over a town. You may see the people and the structure but you are hovering above. They are too far away to interact.
If you scuba dive, you can go down to where the activity is and be part of it. Imagine seeing a fish larger than you and swimming next to it. Wow what a thrill!

Can anyone tell me or explain how long can I be underwater with an air tank. How do I breath with my air tank? Where can I get my air tank? Do I need to have some kind of papers, to get an air tank? Also, does the size of a tank has somthing to do with how long I can be underwater? Please help me I realy need this information.
Generally there is about 3000psi of compressed air in a tank which theoretically can last you about an hour. The amount of time you can spend under water is affected by how quickly you breath and how deep you go.
The ideal way to breath with an air tank is slow and deep. You can buy an air tank without any information, however, the shops that fill it with air won't do it for you unless you are a properly certified diver.
Talk to someone at a local dive shop. Your best bet is to take a dive course - there are different levels of certification you can get.
